Mitch Degeus
Mitch is the latest addition to the Wailupe Boys paddling team. Born in El Cajon, California, Mitch was a seasonal San Diego Lifeguard and attended the University of California San Diego.
In 2006 Mitch made the move across the pacific where he found his new home on the island of Oahu. After 3 years as a City and County of Honolulu Lifeguard, Mitch was accepted in the Honolulu Fire Academy.
A gifted waterman, Mitch has proven himself in the paddleboarding world after taking 2nd place in the Molokai to Oahu Paddleboard race in 2008 and 2009. Mitch is an advocate of the Wailupe Lifestyle. Whether it is the evening surf sessions with the wailupe crew or swimming the 18 mile Na Pali Cost on Kauai, Mitch is always up for a good time!
